hello, gents. and ladies who imbibe in the beverages made from fermented barley and hops. though you are few and far between, we here at tdl respect some beer lovin women. today i introduce to you a beer that is near and dear to my heart. i found this beer at one of my fave bars in nola. its is a pale lager, a "drink all day" beer called Kingfisher. it is the most widespread beer in India, and commonly found in the UK. i loves me some Kingfisher. some beer snobs whine about its lack of whatever, or the fact that its a pale lager without much pizazz, so i say go eff off beer snobs. you probably bring your own mini-keg of heineken to parties. i loves me some Kingfisher, and as the label used to say, it is "Most thrilling chilled !"

ok my fellow drinkers. this week i come to you slightly repentant. see, my pal Schmoo his been bustin my ass for what she claims is my "bad taste" in general. I'll admit i have bad taste in some things. she claims i have bad taste in beer, which i deny, music, which i kinda own up to, beer, which i deny, and women, which i freely admit. seriously, i need to be the bachelor or i'll be single forever, i'm that picky. Schmoo, in her infinite wisdom, hates the belgian abbey ales. not only does this upset the residents of that fine country, but it wounds me in ways you can never know. so this week i am encouraging all to try a beer that i enjoy which i know that Schmoo herself also approves of. It is called La Fin Du Monde (The End of The World), brewed at Unibroue by our friends in Quebec. Them Quebecois know their beer, because this is the good stuff. Its a spicy one, and you'd better watch out, b/c at 9 % ABV, it'll knock your shit out before you realize what's happening.
