          Ever been the last of your friends to arrive at a bar or wherever and find your already intoxicated buddy hooking up with some girl that you know is hideous when seen in the sunlight ?  Oh yes my friends, it has happened to you.  Shit, it may have been you that was observed hooking up with said nocturnal beastie.  You know, the one where you wake up, roll over and go "egads !" when you see what you got naked and dirty with, remembering how you thought she was heinous only two days before. You or your friend did this because he or she is lacking something…..standards.

People with standards often get called "picky" and their parents think that they'll never see grandchildren from them because of said pickiness.  However, i say it is way better to have standards then to hook up with just anything that will swap spit with you in return.  I mean seriously some guys and girls have zero standards.  Case in point : one night, I was in a bar with a bunch of my fraternity brothers, and unfortunately, a shitload of this sorority was there as well.  I say unfortunately b/c this was the "fat girl" sorority on campus.  Two of its heftier members were referred to as meredith the hutt and betsy the cow.  Seriouly, they were bad.  So this one freshamn in my fraternity turns to me and drunkenly screams out "fuckin ay murph, all these Thetas are fat and ugly !!!!" at the top of his lungs.  I instantly look for an escape from the herd of drunken beefy females who not only are insulted by him, but are resenting the fact that every sorority with an average weight under 160 lbs has cut them.  Now you would think that this guy only held out for the hotties, that he favored quality over quantity…nope. Two months later, the aforementioned guy ends up dating one of these  girls after hooking up with several of them.  This story illustrates my point…some people have no standards, and will hook up with or date people they know to be unattractive.  Why do people do this ?  I have no clue.  I know I have standards that work for me and usually I'm pretty tight about deviating from them.  However, deviation is sometimes allowed if say, the chick isnt quite up to snuff, but she's a cheerleader and you can always say, "hey, i banged a cheerleader when I was in college"  or "hey, I got on the professor's daughter" or something of that sort.
