We love many shows here on The Blog. Most though are usually discussed by are resident hottie detective Murph. However, I would like to offer one of my favorite shows on television on this edition of Video of the Week(end). I love The Family Guy. Why? Because it is insanely ridiculously with no sense to it whatsoever. I absolutely love random off-the-wall humor. Here is a sample of the show that not only made Little Enchilada nauseous but made me laugh hysterically. Enjoy!

whats up, fellow bibliophiles. this week i bring to you a perfect summer book. its not the typical forgettable summer bunk that we all bring to the beach or the pool, some interchangable formulaic mystery, action-adventure, or sci-fi stuff. this is one book you will not want to put down, and thats a good thing, b/c it will take you a long time to get through it.  you will also develop some serious guns from lugging it around, b/c its heavy as all get out. this fine book is  James Clavell's "Shogun". it is an epic saga set in 17th century japan, the names being changed to protect the innocent. seriously, this one has it all. action, intrigue, battles, ninjas, samurai, swordfights, and of course, for the dude, the mental image of hot japanese women. its fantastic. they made a 10 hour miniseries out of it in the early 80s, thats how good this was. 10 hours ! and people tuned in ! snag this one at barnes n nobles, you wont regret it.

After falling ill the past few days from Flacidicus Limpitis (a disease occasionally suffered by even the most powerful of cocks), The Fabulous Mr. Pito rises on this day recovered and as strong as ever. Full of life and vitality, he decides to stroll through the pathways surrounding his coop. Day dreaming of good times gone by, a stinging pain suddenly afflicts his right talon. He looks down to see sharp pebbles aligned in a most mysterious way. Looking further into the strange alignment, The Fabulous one is taken aback. Realizing what this means, he struggles to find his footing as sensations of vertigo begin to permeate throughout his body. The other fowl take notice and rush over to help. Alas, they could not for this is a moment of truth. A calling that can only be answered by the called. Before The Fabulous One loses consciousness, he whispers:

hello, gents. and ladies who imbibe in the beverages made from fermented barley and hops. though you are few and far between, we here at tdl respect some beer lovin women. today i introduce to you a beer that is near and dear to my heart.  i found this beer at one of my fave bars in nola. its is a pale lager, a "drink all day" beer called  Kingfisher. it is the most widespread beer in India, and commonly found in the UK. i loves me some Kingfisher. some beer snobs whine about its lack of whatever, or the fact that its a pale lager without much pizazz, so i say go eff off beer snobs. you probably bring your own mini-keg of heineken to parties. i loves me some Kingfisher, and as the label used to say, it is "Most thrilling chilled !"

hello, congregants. today i come to you angrified. i am angry at my fellow people. angry beyond all reason. angry enough that i am not sufficiently enjoying my bottle of Duvel, though i'm sure the 8.5% will kick in sooner or later.

why so angry you ask ? well,here goes. i'm pissed b/c my neighbors apparently belive that our neighborhood is one big dog toilet. they let their furry friends shit upon everyone's lawn and right in the street. they piss all over people'e flowers. do they pick up the errant feces ? nope. they just let them drop a shedooby anywhere their dogs want. want to shit on the lawn ? no problem. piss on someone's  car ? a-ok. leave a turd on the driveway ? awesome. drop it like its hot, dog.(and it usually is. piping hot)

Good weekend TDL Readers! The oddly named "Czar of the Weekend" has returned. I hope to resume my work of filling your weekend with internet surfing material on a regular basis again. This weekend I bring you a pretty funny clip from this past weeks Stephen Colbert Report. Mr. Colbert discusses a very important issue near and dear to his heart with the patriarch of the Pro-Cookie cause, The Cookie Monster himself! The hysterical part, at least to me, is when good ole Cookie Monster tries to control Stephen Colbert during the hosts pro-cookie rants. I love it when childhood icons pop up on shows and do bits like this. ENJOY!

hello, fellow prowlers of the bargain bin at barnes & noble's. today i am motivated to write a review of a book that is near and dear to my heart. it is one of the best books you will ever read. i first read it when i was 13 or 14 i guess and have read it about 10 times since then, wearing out several copies. it would behoove me to go get a hardcover one at some point. the book is entitled All Quiet on the Western Front. by erich maria remarque. its about a group of young german soldiers during world war 1.  i received this book as a secret santa present at school and i'll say this, that kooky girl who bought it for me knew what she was doing. a great read. the image below is the cover of the editions that ive had and they still sell this one.
